ANZAC Day display

ANZAC day, held every year on 25th April, is an important day in our calendar as it is a day where we commemorate all New Zealanders killed in war as well as honour our returned servicemen and women.

The date itself marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian soldiers – the Anzacs – on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915.

We are lucky to have a great selection of ANZAC and military resources in our library. These have been on display over the last few weeks. I hope you have had a look and learnt some interesting facts about this special day.

Did you attend an ANZAC Day service on the 25th April, during the holidays? Please share your experiences as a comment below.

  1. A beautiful displayed that inspired some of my children to sit and read ANZAC books during our visit.
I always love coming to the library, it is so bright and user friendly.
Keep up the hard work! :)
